Yesterday some of the media and communications team for this Green Jobs Now: Day of Action 9/27/08 gathered on a call to focus on media, messaging, and location for the main event in L.A for the Day of Action. This event will be hosted by LA CAUSA and is showcasing green construction and innovation.
William will present a schedule of the day and other groups that are hosting green events in L.A that day are encouraged to join this event for maximum cohesion, promotion, and presentation. Speakers and presenters will have an opportunity to exhibit their work with press and possibly officials and policy makers present.
Gloria Walton from SCOPE is in Voter Registration mode and saw some overlapping possibilities, especially in regards to the WE THE PEOPLE festival and voter registration/petition opportunities. She, as a representative of Apollo Alliance and apart of the GREEN LA coalition, is going to report back to her team to see what capacity they have for the Day of Action.
Jeffery Richardson from Wattz Up will also be on the call. He represents an organization the creates green employment for at-risk populations.
The executive producers from The GARDEN will also be on the call. Lets find a spot for them to do a screening after the LaCausa event. Tezo speaks at WE THE PEOPLE around 3pm.
